Why Schools Kill Creativity

This is probably my favourite TED Talk. in 20 minutes, Sir Ken Robinson details everything what is wrong with the education and gives some interesting ideas on what could be changed.

Even if you do not agree with his views, the anecodotes itself are worth the watch.

Teacher approaches girl in art class and asks what she is drawing. “Im drawing a picture of God.” Teacher says, “Nobody knows what God looks like.” Girl: “They will know in a minute.”

If you are not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original.

Picasso once said that all children are born artists. The problem is to remain an artist once we grow up.
